The Job:   

As Senior Quality Manager, you’ll be part of our Aerospace team working as an on-site Leader responsible for our Global Quality Function to support the Consolidated Aerospace Manufacturing Businesses.  The role will be responsible for 2 sites across North America and will lead and be responsible for the Site Quality Function and interface, collaborate, lead Global Quality improvement initiatives. This role will drive our Mission to Deliver an Exceptional Customer Experience through Quality Excellence of Products, Processes and Services. You’ll get to You’ll get to:    


• Mentor and Lead The Quality Teams reporting structure through building effective teams, training and gap analysis to provide continuous development

• Collaborate with Business and Site Partners to support and evolve Site Deliverable and Business and Quality Initiatives including representation and Customer interface

• Focus on delivering exceptional quality while delivering performance improvements across critical KPIs and development, measuring and tracking of critical KPIs

• Support the Site Quality Managers with management of Quality Audits, Quality Holds, Rework Plans and Corrective Actions to install strong Quality process control to avoid any process escape.

• Leverage Quality Assurance procedures and Control Plan (IQC, IPQC and FQA, control of non-conforming materials) Support formal Safety, Risk Assessment or Root Cause Analysis & Corrective Actions processes.  

• Drive Evidence based Quality Systems that lead to Preventative Controls for Robust Process Results

• Utilize kaizen style blitz for process improvement and risk mitigation activity

Ensure product conformity across all the Value Streams of the site.
• Implement and maintain QMS certifications (ISO, AS9100, AS13100, AS9145, FAA, EASA, NADCAP, etc) ensuring alignment to customer and standard agency requirements, including integration of customer flow down.
• Lead and Drive Quality Planning and execution activity across product and program lifecycle  including knowledge and hands-on experiences in technical and process problem solving methods, Continuous Improvement, supplier quality standards, human capital investment, training and continues improvement efforts

• Ensure front-end Quality Plans are developed and incorporated in the contract and Statement of Work (SOW), which include budget and scope requirement, and align with product lifecycle development, production, and supply chain, along with sustainable compliance.

• Drive and ensure Culture of Continuous Improvement in product and process efficiencies by prioritizing and reducing costs associated with defects, escapes, rework, and scrap.

Bachelor’s degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).10+ yers  of prior relevant experience.Experience with Manufacturing, Operations, Engineering and Quality.Experience with Quality standards including AS9145, AS9100D, ISO9001:2015 or equivalent from other industries.Ability to understand and utilize standard quality tools (i.e. Lean Six Sigma, APQP/PPAP, DMAIC, GR&R, CpK, SPC, FMEA, Control Plans and problem solving, etc.)Experience working with multiple sites.Experience with Lean Six Sigma / Continuous Improvement (CI) Tools.Develop and mentor team members & leaders.
