To £85,000 DOE + Package 

We are assisting a leading provider of innovative prefabricated MEP solutions, serving a wide range of industries, with a commitment to enhancing project efficiency, sustainability, and quality. Due to continued growth the organisation is in need of an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor for a Decarbonisation project. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will report to Lead Quantity Surveyor and be responsible for managing all aspects of the quantity surveying function, ensuring cost control, and supporting project delivery from inception to completion which requires strong analytical skills, extensive knowledge of construction costs, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.  

Key Requirements & Responsibilities:   

Establish a comprehensive project budget based on project scope, specifications, and contractual requirements.  

Oversee cost planning and management of projects, including estimating, budgeting, and cost control measures.  

Provide weekly/monthly accurate and informed reporting on the project's cost performance. 

Manage the preparation and evaluation of subcontract packages, contributing to interim and final valuations.  

Review and analyse contracts and identify key terms, conditions and obligations related to cost management.  

Prepare and evaluate tender documents, including contract conditions, bills of quantities, and subcontractor packages.  

Prepare updated cost reports, providing project managers and stakeholders with insights into cost performance.  

Implement effective cost control measures to monitor project expenditures and identify potential issues and present reliable solutions.  

Participate in project meetings, providing expertise and insights on cost management issues and strategies. 

Degree in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management or related field.  

5+ years of experience as Senior Quantity Surveyor within construction with focus on the Decarbonisation sector. 

Strong knowledge of JCT & NEC contracts. 

Prominent level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of quantity surveying and reporting. 

Proficiency in Quantity Surveying software and tools.  

Excellent negotiation, problem solving and communication skills.  

Clean driving licence with the ability to visit sites when required.
