Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor (M&E) to join our team in Singapore, Singapore. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the financial aspects of mechanical and electrical (M&E) projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality control throughout the project lifecycle.

Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documents for M&E projectsAnalyze and evaluate tenders, providing recommendations to the project teamConduct cost planning, value engineering, and life cycle costing for M&E systemsManage contract administration, including change orders, variations, and claimsPerform regular cost monitoring and reporting, identifying potential cost overrunsCollaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to optimize project costsNegotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricingPrepare monthly cost reports and final accounts for M&E projectsImplement and maintain cost control systems and proceduresProvide expert advice on M&E systems and components to the project teamStay updated on industry trends, regulations, and sustainable building practices

QualificationsBachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Building Economics, or a related fieldProfessional membership in a recognized quantity surveying institution (e.g., RICS)Minimum 5-7 years of experience in M&E quantity surveyingProven experience in large-scale commercial or industrial projectsProficiency in quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Causeway)Strong knowledge of M&E systems, components, and installation processesExcellent mathematical and analytical skillsProficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially ExcelAdvanced contract management and negotiation skillsIn-depth understanding of local building codes and regulations in SingaporeFamiliarity with sustainable building practices and green technologiesStrong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressureExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment
