HDR's Florida Transportation Group is hiring an experienced Senior Real Estate Services / Right-of-Way Acquisition Agent. This position can be based in Orland, Tampa, Jacksonville, Fort Lauderdale or Miami.

Primary Responsibilities

Provide support during project pre-negotiation due diligenceConduct complex negotiations for the acquisition of rights and relocation of displaces relative to public or private projectsCoordinate right-of-way and utility issues for clients as assignedWill be responsible for schedule and budget.Implement applicable federal, state and industry laws and regulations such as FHWA, FAA, FTA, FRA, FERC, NEPA, and the Uniform Act, as well as the client's policies and proceduresIn conjunction with others, perform activities to support Real Property projects, such as property assessments, risk analysis, acquisition of needed rights, occupant relocation, property management, construction coordination, and utility relocation/coordinationPrioritize work and perform activities at a high level.Work independently or closely with a team, confidently with clients, property owners, and occupants, and be flexible for travel, as requiredCommunicate and document effectively.Work flexible hours and coordinate closely with managementPerform other duties as needed

Required Qualifications

Florida Real Estate license in good standing, or equivalent, as required by lawMinimum 5 years of experience in real estate, right-of-way, title, utility coordination, relocation, or property management; Applicable degree can supplement years of experience Must have the ability to understand and work in compliance with the Uniform Act, federal and state laws, and regulations specific to the real estate and right-of-way industry Proficiency with standard technology tools such as Microsoft Office and ProjectStrong communication skills in order to work effectively with people, a basic understanding of negotiation and presentation skills, and the ability to work flexible hours

Preferred Qualifications

Associate'sdegree or equivalent experience Experience implementingapplicable federal, state and industry laws and regulations such as FHWA, FAA, FTA, FRA, FERC, NEPA, and the Uniform Act, as well as the client's policies and procedures Database and GIS familiarity -Local candidates are preferred
