Position OverviewQinetiQ US is seeking a Senior Records Manager to become a part of our outstanding team supporting the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy (OUSDP), Policy Management & Operations (PMO) office within the Pentagon. The PMO office's mission is to provide outstanding strategic management and services in support of Policy's mission through being committed to the pursuit of excellence, transparency, and accountability. An ideal candidate will be a self-starter who has a demonstrated ability to work as an integrated member of a team to achieve mission objectives. Duties include:
ResponsibilitiesManage OUSDP records management compliance to ensure the organization meets DoD requirements and follows established processes
Serve as the primary OUSD point of contact for records management issues, including as liaison with WHS and Policy components/subcomponents.
Provide subject matter expertise regarding the records management requirements of the OUSDP organization. Communicate requirements, processes, and time-lines to appropriate personnel.
Serve as the first level of review for component products and advice ahead of audits.
Provide subject matter expertise to OUSDP personnel concerning the USG-wide records management practices as set by U.S. law (including the Paperwork Reduction Act and the Privacy Act), regulations promulgated by the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), and guidance from the OSD Records Manager.
Develop the OUSDP records management program and coordinate with component records management leads to develop associated component plans. Serve as the primary point of contact to develop, track, review, and maintain audit-able records for associated implementation requirements.
Facilitate accurate and meaningful office file plans are created by OUSDP components and sub-components, enhance component electronics records processes, and confirm records personnel take steps to preserve and dispose of records in accordance with DoD and NARA requirements.
Serve as subject matter expert to brief senior leaders and train other OUSDP Personnel.
Develop and sustain a OUSDP records management curriculum, including training requirements for most Policy records personnel (primarily, but not limited to, administrative contracting staff).
Serve as a liaison between Policy directorates and WHS to ensure the OUSDP organization complies with DoD records management requirements and established processes.
Provide weekly and monthly status reports that summarize efforts undertaken, problems encountered, and potential solutions
