Job DescriptionThe Talent Acquisition team at Whole Foods Market is seeking a Senior Recruiter with experience hiring store leaders in the grocery retail domain to join our team based in Austin, TX. As the Sr Recruiter, you will play a pivotal role in sourcing, evaluating, and hiring top-tier talent for leadership positions within our stores. With a primary focus on entry-level roles such as Associate Team Leader and Team Leader (department manager and assistant department manager), you’ll oversee the entire recruitment process, from sourcing to onboarding. Serving as the main liaison between hiring leaders and candidates, you will ensure that hiring objectives are clearly defined and met. Additionally, you will act as a regional point of contact, fostering relationships, cultivating talent pipelines, and providing ongoing recruitment updates for the designated region. This role is based in Austin, TX, with an expectation of being in the Store Support office five days a week. Responsibilities: + Provides Recruiting coordination, advice, and support across multiple high-volume placements. + Partners with supported teams and Team Leaders to understand talent needs, priorities, and timelines. + Acts as a resource and consultant for an assigned region, supporting company-wide recruiting strategies and initiatives for all stores (including Career Development Programs, Apprenticeship programs). + Partners with and regularly meets with Regional Leadership (Operations and HR) to discuss progress on filling open leadership positions in stores and showcasing metrics. + Adapts and applies innovative and successful candidate sourcing, screening, assessment, selection, and negotiation strategies. + Ensures consideration of internal candidates and identifies opportunities for current Team Member development or transfer. + Evaluates Recruiting metrics to identify trends, potential challenges, and indicators of success. + Ensures appropriate and effective efforts to include diverse candidates in all recruiting initiatives and programs. + Key Ingredients: + 4-6+ years of relevant recruiting (including sourcing) experience in a retail environment, preferably within grocery retail. + Strong knowledge of Recruiting concepts, practices, and processes. + Able to interview and facilitate negotiation/discussion consistent with industry best practices. + Creates a reputation of communicating effectively with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and partners. + Recognizes and proactively addresses hiring process, candidate selection, or other issues. + Mediates difficult interactions, escalating problems as appropriate. + Derives evidence-based insights to recommend changes and influence leadership decision-making. + Understands industry trends and emerging challenges from the perspective of people development, rewards, and retention. + Collaborates with others, in groups, in cross-functional settings, and with diverse stakeholders internally and externally. + Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. + Models commitment to customer service. + Ability to travel up to 40% of time a year At Whole Foods Market, we provide a fair and equal employment opportunity for all Team Members and candidates regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, gender, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, age, marital status, disability, or any other legally protected characteristic.
