Senior Regional Operation Manager - Driver Growth

North Asia, a multi-billion-dollar taxi market, is witnessing rapid growth in e-hail adoption within the taxi industry. The North Asia team is on a mission to fuel this growth. We are seeking a seasoned Ops Manager to drive the growth, acquisition, and retention of drivers in North Asia. This is an exciting opportunity to set up and scale North Asia Driver growth engine As a Regional Ops Manager at Uber, you will play a critical role in accelerating the driver growth in the regions, retaining drivers on the Uber platform, ensuring efficient processes, and driving business outcomes through data analysis and problem-solving. The ideal candidate will combine operational expertise with strong communication and organizational skills to tackle challenges in a fast-paced environment and set up the regionn for accelerated driver growth **Your Impact in Role** - Driver Funnel: Design and implement initiatives to improve onboarding metrics such as activation rates and funnel. Work closely with country teams to improve onboarding process to increase velocity of driver growth in the region - Driver Lifecycle **:** Design and implement scalable strategies for retention of early life cycle of drivers after onboarding - Driver Retention: Analyse driver performance data to identify trends, challenges, and areas for improvement to reduce churn on the platform. Implement strategies to enhance driver engagement and retention on the platform - Process Optimization: Identify inefficiencies in driver operations processes and develop solutions to streamline workflows. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Product, Local operations) to ensure seamless execution of operational initiatives. - Data-Driven Decision Making: Monitor key performance metrics and prepare reports to provide insights into driver operations. Leverage data to inform decisions and prioritize initiatives for maximum impact. **The Experience You'll Bring** - A degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Economics, Business, Engineering, or similar) or equivalent experience. - 5+ years of experience in senior stakeholder management, cross-functional project management, and data-driven decision-making - Proficiency in SQL, Excel (Google Sheets), and other analytical tools to develop actionable insights from data. - Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build relationships with internal teams and cross-functional teams - Ability to take initiative and manage multiple high-priority projects in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. - Self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. - Passion for Uber’s mission and an interest in the rideshare and mobility space - Knowledge of North Asia’s market dynamics and Taxi Industry preferred We welcome people from all backgrounds who seek the opportunity to help build a future where everyone and everything can move independently.
