As a Senior Regulatory Affairs Manager, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of strategies to achieve U.S. registration of pesticide products as well as representing BASF by participating in regulatory-related industry meetings/committees. We are seeking a professional like you to independently manage regulatory projects and lead the development and implementation of strategies required to obtain, defend, and maintain our active ingredient and product registrations. This advanced role brings scientific, regulatory affairs, and policy-related strategic abilities to address complex regulatory issues impacting critical products in our Crop Protection, Professional & Specialty Solutions, Seed Treatment, and/or Biologicals portfolios. **As a Senior Regulatory Affairs Manager, you create chemistry by...** + Leveraging your education in Agriculture or related field and your distinctive experience working for Agrochemical, Pharmaceutical or Life Science industries you will create regulatory dossier submissions for U.S. EPA and international regulatory authorities according to globally harmonized guidelines, as well as provide regulatory support and service to internal technical and business teams, company customers, and sub-registrants. + Your working knowledge of FIFRA will be essential for you to develop and implement strategies to achieve U.S. registration as well as potentially assist with Global pesticidal products. Experience successfully registering pesticides is preferred. + Demonstrating your exceptional ability to negotiate, you will engage in EPA regulatory activities through interactions with industry and agency associations, present convincing arguments to regulatory authorities for timely registrations, as well as negotiate with internal groups to gain buy-in on regulatory strategies and innovative registration approaches. + Utilizing your excellent organizational skills as well as your strong experience in project management, you will lead cross-functional project teams that develop data supporting North American registration of pesticidal products, coordinate activities associated with development of new active ingredients, develop and plan new end-use products, as well as re-register and expand existing registrations to include new use sites requiring more extensive data development. + This is an excellent opportunity for you to demonstrate your remarkable communication skills as well as your ability to teamwork as you work closely with different business units to ensure that registration activities are conducted consistently with the overall objectives of the APN business, advise APN business teams on regulatory issues impacting company sales and profit as well as exploring alternative regulatory strategies that can benefit the business. + Your extraordinary problem-solving skills as well as your ability to work independently will be valued assets as you find new solutions where principles, guidelines and targets are only broadly defined as well as work in a rapidly changing environment contributing to projects of moderate complexity. **If you have...** + MS/PhD in agriculture field or related scientific discipline with 12+ years’ experience in the pesticide industry, with minimum 8 years’ experience with pesticide registration and/or regulatory affairs. + or BA/BS degree in agriculture or related scientific discipline with 15+ years’ experience in the pesticide industry, with minimum 10 years’ experience in pesticide registration and/or regulatory affairs. + Must have comprehensive working knowledge of FIFRA with a proven track record for successfully registering complex pesticide active ingredients. + Developed regulatory strategies to obtain, maintain and defend active ingredient and product registrations with Federal and State regulatory authorities. + Demonstrated the ability to lead and actively participate in multi-company task forces and industry trade association committees. + Demonstrated effective and influential communication and negotiation skills to all levels and audiences, internally (project teams to Executive management) and externally with Regulatory Authorities and NGOs. + The ability to travel up to 10%, mostly domestically **Create your own chemistry with you@BASF** At BASF, you will have the chance to do meaningful work towards building a more sustainable future. The competitive Pay Range for this role is $128,000 - $176,000.
