Job Seekers, Please send resumes to resumes@hireitpeople.com A release analyst is required to coordinate the software deployment activities across cross organizational teams that include developers, Business analyst, Quality assurance, change management and to validate the release and acceptance of the release with the technical team, end users and management. MDOT operations have a comprehensive Information Technology (IT) portfolio of over 150 distinct applications. The DTMB Administrative Systems Section, along with it MDOT business partners, is responsible to provide software maintenance and operations support for the portfolio. Additionally, Administrative Systems section provides resources for new and on-gong development efforts in support of MDOT’s Call for Projects. TO Ramp up the DTMB Administrative Section Grant unit systems development
One (1) Release Analyst Senior: Release Analyst capabilities with 8 or more year of software release experience coordinate the software implementation with the cross-organizational team and make sure the application is released to production and validated following the release process. Participate in the implementation meetings, responsible for setting and communicating release expectation to the team members and to the end users. The Resource must have strong communication written and verbal and interpersonal skills, positive attitude and understanding of software development life cycle. Strong release planning, negotiating timelines and deliverables skills are required to make sure the application release is smooth and successful.
Release Analyst: •Attend Local Control Board (LCB) meetings weekly •Coordinate with CM team to implement the releases to Production, QA and to Development environment as needed. •Perform the software release validation working with tech lead of the system. •Participate in the software implementation plan meetings and coordinate the release with the interfacing system admins or leads •Coordinate with section managers, customers where appropriate and others in Release scoping, planning and delivery. •Serena release tickets must be periodically checked to see if they should be closed out. Create RFC’s and coordinate Serena tickets for managers, technical leads and developers in other sections as needed •Investigate RFC’s that are overdue or otherwise problematic and communicate to the team. •SMMS notices are received that report that an RFC hasn’t been closed past the due date •Follow up on all Remedy tickets to make sure they completed successfully or are being addressed •Help the CM Team with the development, formulation, evaluation and testing of new or improved Serena work flows •Create the required release document that supports the release through its life cycle and the back out plans •Contribute improvement to the release process that minimizes risk and improves quality to the production environment •Provide release status updates to the management, project managers, CM team about the builds and releases.
