DescriptionThe Sr Reliability Engineer works with a multidisciplinary maintenance team to determine the overall strategy and plans for the department and provides expertise, knowledge and guidance for maintenance related to predictive and preventive maintenance; equipment reliability and condition monitoring, etc.
Identifies system constraints and proactively pursues elimination of them through the continuous improvement cycle.Ensures continuous production is uninterrupted by equipment failures and reduces production costs through development of maintenance methods to improve process efficiency and reliability.Leads others and/or performs root cause analysis of equipment failures. Acts as a subject matter expert as required and assists in the identification and implementation of corrective actions or technologies.Researches new reliability processes and identifies methods to predict and improve reliability.Performs onsite evaluation of existing processes and equipment and sets expectations within the department for precision maintenance.Reviews and establishes Key Performance Indices for equipment.Identifies PM opportunities and maintenance plans by leading failure mode and effect analysis.Analyzes current CMMS data for equipment health indicators and identifies reports to measure health indicators.Proactively develops and provides safety perspective for equipment and processes; makes recommendations of engineering solutions or methods to eliminate hazards.Performs other duties as required.QualificationsMinimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate Engineering discipline and five (5) years related experience in Engineering, ORMaster’s degree in appropriate Engineering discipline and three (3) years related experience in EngineeringProficiency of MS Office suite including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and ProjectAbility to listen and understand information and ideas and express thought and ideas clearly and concisely through oral and written communicationCustomer focused to provide quality service to improve equipment and process reliabilityKnowledge and understanding of reliability centered maintenance practicesExperience with engineering design drawings and schematicsSelf-starter with solid integrityUnderstand the importance of safety, legality and qualityPreferred Qualifications:
3 years plus of maintenance experience with mobile mining equipmentExperience with large rotating equipment including knowledge of bearings, seals, lubrication and gearboxesProject management experience, developing authorization for expenditure requests, scopes of work, project schedules, material take offs, spend forecasts, construction activities, and commissioning activities Experience in procurement as well as factory acceptance testingUnderstanding on all RCM discipline (Vibration Analysis, Machinery Lubrication, Thermography, Non-Destructive Testing and Ultrasound)Able to research and analyze information of considerable difficulty and draw valid conclusionsStrength in conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and/or Failure Modes & Effects Analysis (FMEA)Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, including mentoring/supervising junior engineersCriteria/Conditions:
Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required.What We Offer You
The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $98,000-$137,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors.
