Senior Repair Technician
**Job Title: Sr. Repair Technician** **Location:** Milwaukee, WI **Pay Range:** $28-$30 **About the Role:** We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sr. Repair Technician to join our team. As a Sr. Repair Technician, you will be responsible for performing repairs and diagnostics on generators and associated equipment, ensuring that all tasks are executed efficiently and to high standards. You will also play a key role in training new employees and maintaining a clean and organized work area. **What You’ll Do:** + **Perform Repairs:** Disassemble generators to remove parts, make repairs, and reassemble equipment. + **Diagnostics:** Troubleshoot and diagnose problems using voltmeters and other testing devices. Perform tests throughout the repair process to ensure equipment meets quality specifications. + **Cross-Training:** Learn and be proficient in areas such as Assembly/Disassembly and Electrical Testing/Diagnostics . Obtain process knowledge point values for each area successfully trained in. + **Training:** Train new employees in areas where you have process knowledge points. + **Record Keeping:** Ensure proper tracking of components in the DCS computer system, including filling out necessary paperwork and tracking time for costing purposes. + **Collaboration:** Work with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain departments to complete tasks effectively. + **Safety and Compliance:** Follow organizational requirements for quality management, environmental, health, and safety standards, and ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures. + **Maintenance:** Maintain the cleanliness and organization of your work area, following 6S and Lean Manufacturing principles. **What’s Needed:** + **Experience:** Relevant experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment is required. Experience in repairs or diagnostic positions is preferred. + **Technical Knowledge:** Basic electrical and mechanical knowledge, with the ability to troubleshoot issues, read and interpret Engineering Change Orders, repair manuals, blueprints, and schematics. + **Skills:** Strong math and computer skills, attention to detail, and the ability to respond to changing priorities. + **Tools and Equipment:** Experience with hand and power tools, measuring devices, and testing equipment. Must be able to operate an overhead crane and forklift, and be willing to get certified if needed. + **Certifications:** Crane and forklift certifications required or must be obtained within 3 months of hiring.
