The Senior Repository Technician supports warehouse tasks involving inventory management, storage, retrieval, and shipping of biological materials for commercial and government clients. Responsibilities Laboratory and Material Handling: Monitor and maintain temperature-controlled storage systems, ensure inventory organization, and wear proper PPE (personal protective equipment) while obtaining biomaterials from repository freezers. Customer Service and Operations Coordination: Partner with customer care to resolve customer inquiries and complaints, while processing incoming shipments, preparing samples for shipment, and stock replenishment. Organization and Documentation: Manage inventory and maintain biological materials in proper cold chain environment (196°C (-321°F) degrees to 29°C (85°F) degrees) through the monitoring of storage systems, freezers and tanks. Performing functions following standard operating procedures, systematic data entry, and performing good documentation practices (GDP) and maintaining cGMP standards. Repository Leadership: Mentor and train associate repository technicians to develop their skills and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent experience with 5+ years of relevant experience Some prior experience working with biological material in a life-science warehouse, shipping/handling, or inventory environment Ability to train or mentor other team members Attention to detail (for batch or lot numbers and item number differentiation and counting) ERP or inventory management system experience (ATCC uses AX or BSI) Ability to learn and follow quality control/assurance procedures Effective communication in English (both verbal and written), strong organizational skills BenefitsThe expected salary range for this position is $48,000 to $55,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional incentive compensation including regular merit increases and the corporate bonus program.
