Senior Research Assistant

The Clinical and Translational Science Institute at the University of Pittsburgh is recruiting a Senior Research Assistant. The Senior Research Assistant will implement the study protocol in multiple settings including dedicated enrollment clinics, physician practices, hospital settings (outpatient/inpatient) and in community partner settings in a designated catchment area. The individual is experienced in the clinical and/or research setting and is able to take on a site-specific management role when required under the direction of the Senior Research Coordinator. They will interact with potential participants along the continuum of study enrollment – including engagement (explaining study basics to a potential participant), recruitment (scheduling and assisting with completion of online informed consent and participant surveys), collection and processing of blood and urine samples, completing physical measurements and documenting all activities, including finalization of biospecimens prior to shipment to Mayo Lab. The candidate will oversee the collection and reporting of data related to the enrollment continuum and provide peer support to other members of the team to assure data collection and standard operating procedures are followed. The candidate will participate in promotion of retention activities, and supporting participants during these activities. They will implement new models for the All of Us Research Program, including new methods for research and data collection. The ideal candidate enjoys interacting with diverse communities, is flexible, positive, friendly and a team player with excellent communication and organizational skills. The candidate will train and mentor new staff members in the study protocol and work closely with the Training and Education coordinator to assure staff competencies are maintained.

Ability to operate a PC and communicate effectivelyverbally and in written form with people from diversebackgrounds.
