Job Description

Manages major research projects, developing proposals, defining scope of work, and providing day to day project supervision.; Work hours: Mon-Fri; 8 AM-5 PM or as work requirements indicate

Responsibilities:
-55% Performs modification and application of environmental and economic models
-20% Prepares reports, papers and publications for funding sources. Prepares and presents research results and publications at meetings and scientific conferences.
-10% Performs statistical analysis of field and modeling data
-10% Assists with preparation of proposals, budgets and work plans.
-5% Performs other duties as assigned including assistance with field work as needed.

Education and Experience:
-Masters degree
-2 years of directly related research experience (Doctoral degree in a related field may be substituted for required years of research experience)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
-Familiarity with appropriate laboratory and/or technical equipment.
-Ability to effectively utilize a computer and applicable software to create databases, perform statistical analyses, present data and perform other computer related tasks. Ability to multi task and work cooperatively with others.

Other Requirements:
Experience applying surface water quality models and watershed models is preferred. Educational degrees in environmental sciences, water resources, or environmental engineering is preferred.

The target base annual salary is $39,120 and may be negotiable based on funding availability and candidate experience/skillset in relation to the minimum requirements of this position.
