Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Research Associate to join our Oncology in vivo pharmacology team. The selected candidate will be responsible for evaluating novel oncology therapeutics in pre-clinical mouse oncology models. Hands on experience with pre-clinical mouse models is required. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, generating and communicating pharmacology data to support the progression of oncology research programs. Title will be commensurate with experience.
Primary responsibilities:
Daily study support for in vivo pharmacology studies (efficacy, PK/PD) including dosing, measuring tumors, collecting tissues
Pre-clinical model development and characterization
Accurate/timely record keeping and data analysis of in vivo data
Work closely with project teams to design in vivo studies
Cell culture
Operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment
Qualifications & prior experience:
Training in relevant field (BS or MS) with a minimum of 0-2 years of post-graduate hands on experience or demonstrate equivalent work experience with murine models of cancer, inflammation and/or immunology
Proficiency with various mouse handling techniques including dosing (IV, PO, subcutaneous, IP), tumor inoculation/measurements, in life and terminal blood collection, collection and handling of tissues during necropsy and processing for ex vivo analysis
Working knowledge of laboratory animal equipment and supplies, for a variety of common laboratory animals and personal protective equipment requirements for various bio-safety levels.
Demonstrated ability to organize and plan studies and execute day-to-day responsibilities with minimum supervision
Experience with in vivo imaging is desired
Experience with cell culture is desired
Computer literacy, especially proficiency with GraphPad Prism, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Excellent organizational and communication skills, along with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
