Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Research Coordinator.

The Optimal Aging Institute https://med nyu edu/departments institutes/optimal aging/ at NYU Grossman School of Medicine is looking to recruit a Senior Research Coordinator. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with faculty at the Optimal Aging Institute focusing on high impact research aimed at the prediction prevention detection and treatment of age related diseases. The mission of the Institute is to advance the science of optimal aging and connect epidemiologists clinical researchers and other scientists to tackle challenges associated with the aging population and the progression of chronic diseases. The Senior Research Coordinator will work closely with a growing team within the Institute contributing to coordination of large studies such as the Atherosclerosis Risk in Communities Neurocognitive Study ARIC NCS the Aging and Cognitive Health Evaluation in Elders ACHIEVE study and the Chronic Kidney Disease Prognosis Consortium CKD PC as well as other initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:

The Senior Research Coordinator is responsible for providing coordination of projects conducted by numerous, collaborative research teams at the Optimal Aging Institute, including:

Research Studies Work with Principal Investigator (PI) on protocol and manual development; serve as liaison for PI-directed communication to study staff and/or field sites; interface with administrative teams on equipment purchases.Data Management and Access Help prepare contracts and execute data use agreements. Audit and manage secure data access. Prepare forms and reports, and compile and analyze usage statistics and other materials for reports.Grants - Prepare and submit grant proposals and other grants-related activities. Collect and organize required paperwork for submission and serve as a liaison between PI and grants management teams. Follow up and coordinate resolution of issues. Help prepare progress and final reports to the sponsors to ensure compliance.Human Subjects Research - As applicable, oversee the submission of necessary documents, ongoing amendments/forms, and continuous reviews required by the NYU Institutional Review Board (IRB), NYU Office of Clinical Trials, and any other appropriate parties in order to conduct human subjects research. May prepare, audit and submit monthly enrollment statistics, and provide other information in a timely manner, as necessary.Communication and Presentations - Support the communication of research goals progress and outcomes. Compile and consolidate data and support faculty in preparing presentations and posters for conferences. Provide reports to all necessary parties (e.g., the PI, sponsoring agency, etc.) on the progress of the study as needed.  Continuous Learning - Position requires ongoing continuing education in all areas of research development (training programs are provided through the School of Medicine). Promotes own professional growth and development in research role and maintains current expertise in area of practice. Serves as a resource to peers and works collaboratively with other disciplines within the area of expertise.Participate in special projects and perform other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelor degree or equivalent in business administration health care administration or related discipline Minimum of four years of progressively responsible related experience coordinating clinical/research trials studies Proficiency in using various Microsoft Office applications such as World Excel Access Power Point and Outlook Familiar with Internet applications Effective oral written communication interpersonal skills Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and must work and communicate effectively with both internal and external customers Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently Ability to work and make decisions independently Time management skills and ability to multi task Strong understanding and knowledge base of coordination requirements associated with clinical/research trials Ability to identify analyze and solve problems; ability to work well under pressure

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor/Masters degree or equivalent in public health population health or related field Experience with database software such as REDCap is preferred Knowledge of basic medical terminology is preferred Direct experience with NIH grant submissions and/or management

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $67,771.14 - $89,978.10 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
