The Senior Research Project Manager within the School of Social Work in the College of Public Health will provide full-time support to carry out funded grant studies and other research projects/ activities of Dr. Melissa Dichter, the principal investigator. The position will be primarily responsible for the day-to-day oversight of externally and internally funded research projects.
The primary project is a randomized clinical trial, based at the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) – must be credentialled to conduct VHA-based research. The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing local study recruitment; managing all protocols as required by the funder, university, and VA; assisting with data collection, cleaning, management, analysis, and preparation of dissemination materials; managing project communications, processes, and files; overseeing student workers. Essential functions\:
•Manage administrative and regulatory operations of research project
•Implement project protocols, including study recruitment, enrollment, data collection, and basic data analysis
•Schedule and manage study meetings with research team members, collaborators, and outside partners
•Maintain relationships and correspondence with team members, collaborators, external partners, and funders
•Process participant compensation
•Manage study budget
•Oversee, train, and supervise student workers or other research staff
•Prepare and revise dissemination materials (reports, fact sheets, presentations, manuscripts)
•Follow all study protocols and policies, maintain confidentiality and research integrity
•Adhere to all regulatory guidelines, employment rules, and mandated trainings
•Assist with development of research grant applications
Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience\:
Bachelor's Degree and at least four years of experience conducting or managing social science or health services research projects An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
Required Skills & Abilities\:
•Experience with human subjects research, including managing and overseeing IRB protocols, recruiting and enrolling research participants, and collecting data
•Experience with statistical and word processing software
•Training in quantitative and qualitative research methods
Preferred\:
•Master’s or doctoral degree in public health, social work, or related field
•Experience with clinical or research work in the field of interpersonal violence and with Veteran populations
•Experience with research grant writing and development
This position requires a background check.
This position is assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote), the duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.
