Responsible for independently performing research activity or specialized scientific service in support of a research laboratory and may act in the role of Principal Investigator. Conducts complete research projects of every scope, including responsibility for grant budgets, oversight of project staff, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements governing research as appropriate.
A senior scientist research position in cancer biology and immunology is immediately available. Our research focuses on how the endocytic trafficking system controls tumor development, progression, and resistance to therapy through regulation of oncogenic signaling and tumor-driven immune suppression. We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated candidates with a strong background in molecular biology, signal transduction, cell biology, cancer immunology and/or related disciplines. Applicants should have a record of scientific productivity, possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, and be able to conduct research independently. The senior lab scientist should be able to oversee projects conducted by all levels of lab staff, as well as supervise lab safety and lab management.
