The Senior Research Technician safely performs advanced specialized technical functions involving testing, analyzing, improving, installing, operating, and/or solving problems concerning complex processes, equipment for gypsum boards ( fire, lightweight, mold and moisture) and finishing products.

Job objectives:

Supports engineers and scientists in R&D team with their projects. Executes and/or supports commercial and manufacturing support requests. Manages and documents projects by creating concise and technically accurate summary reports effectively with supervision. Conducts hands-on experimental work and ensures all products are tested and approved according to the company SOP. Performs research and a variety of experiments, makes detailed observations, analyzes data, and interprets results. Identifies opportunities that could impact sustainability with innovative solutions and works with R&D, operations, and technical teams to develop and deploy. Understand/learn material properties which are critical to quality attributes. Plays an active role in lab management: safety aspects, equipment maintenance, 5S, lab audit preparation and action follow-up, lab postings, regular equipment checks etc. Demonstrates open and collaborative approach in all areas of responsibility.
