This role is instrumental in the development, testing, and analysis of organic coatings and materials. The successful candidate will be a hands-on, detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of organic chemistry and materials, as well as laboratory safety protocols. **Key Responsibilities** + Assist in the preparation and application of organic coatings for testing. + Conduct routine and non-routine tests on materials and coatings to ensure quality and functionality. + Utilize laboratory equipment and tools to analyze and report on the properties and performance of coatings and materials. + Maintain accurate, detailed records of test procedures, data, and results. + Ensure laboratory equipment is calibrated, properly functioning, and safe to use. + Assist in the procurement and organization of laboratory materials and supplies. + Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe and functional work environment. **Required Education and Skills** + Associate's degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field. + Understanding of organic chemistry and materials. + Proficiency in using laboratory equipment, such as laminators, UC curing, microscopes, and mechanical testing. + Strong organizational and record-keeping skills. + Familiarity with safety protocols in a laboratory environment. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team. **Desired Skills** + Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field. + 5+ years of experience in a laboratory environment. + Experience with coatings, formulations and/or adhesives. **This position does not support immigration sponsorship.** The range for this position is $65,228.00 - $89,689.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
