Senior Researcher

Job responsibilities:

Develop breakthrough research in the field of quantum error-correcting codes and/ or quantum algorithms and demonstrate their advantages over SOTA classical techniques. Publish research papers in reputed scientific journals and conferences. Showcase the work via presentations in conferences, workshops and in form of invited talks as well as poster presentations. Advance the quantum team as well as FRA goals through academic collaborations.

 

Essential requirements:

PhD in Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, and related fields with extensive research background in quantum computing. Stellar publication record in the field of quantum computing at strong venues such as top-tier TCS conferences (FOCS, STOC, SODA, ICALP, etc.), theoretical quantum events (QIP, TQC, etc.), and/ or leading journals (SICOMP, JACM, PRL, PRA, etc.). Substantial research experience (post-PhD) working in TCC and quantum information processing, and related fields.

 

Preferred qualifications:

Strong background and knowledge in either one or more of the following fields: quantum error-correction, quantum algorithms, complexity theory. Track record of presentations at leading conferences, workshops, and invited talks at academic venues. Knowledge of a few areas where quantum computing applications can be designed. Coding experience in Python, C++, or JAVA.
