Under general supervision of Respiratory Care Leadership and according to physician order, provides respiratory care treatment and diagnostic services within the guidelines of the Respiratory Care Services department Policy and Procedure Manual. Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) duties as applied in general clinical care areas, critical/intensive care (i.e. CICU, SICU, IICU, NICU and PICU), Emergency Department, Trauma, Perioperative, Labor and Delivery, and other care areas as required. The Senior RCP requires NICU and PICU competency and routinely assigned to work within neonate, infant, and pediatric designated units. They are competent in clinical assessment skills, able to make appropriate clinical decisions, provide respiratory treatment and care for neonate, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. The Senior RCP performs all duties of blood gas analysis including stick, draw, analysis and reporting.
Required Qualifications:
Associate's Degree as of 12/31/2018. California Respiratory Care Practitioner License upon hire, Or California Temporary Respiratory Care Practitioner upon hire National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association within 90 days of hire National Provider PALS - American Heart Association within 90 days of hire 1 year RCP critical care experience within NICU and/or PICU, High Risk Deliveries; 3 years preferred 2 years RCP adult critical care experience.Preferred Qualifications:
