WHAT YOU'LL DO
This role is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team at a leading and growing advertising technology company operating in a fast-paced industry. This role would be heavily involved in certain aspects of revenue recognition and the financial close process. This position will report directly to the Senior Manager, Revenue and will be responsible for ensuring that revenue is properly coded and recognized in accordance with GAAP. This position will be responsible for day-to-day accounting functions such as preparing and recording journal entries, reconciling accounts, performing flux analyses, coordinating with other teams, and assisting with various projects. This role is ideal for a hard-working, motivated, and ambitious professional who is eager to learn, grow, and make a meaningful impact in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.THE DAY-TO-DAYPerform month-end revenue journal entriesUpdate and maintain revenue schedules and assist in evaluating revenue agreements to ensure revenue is recognized in the proper periods and in accordance with US GAAP (ASC 606)Work with billing and operations teams on customer adjustments, as neededWork cross-functionally with other teams to ensure revenue is accurately recordedProactively identify areas for improvement within the revenue recognition process and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement changesPrepare support for internal and external auditorsMaintain appropriate internal controls over revenue transaction processing and reportingWork directly with customers to provide supplemental revenue reporting detail, as requestedAssist with ad-hoc special projectsGREAT TO HAVEBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field3+ years of relevant Accounting experienceCPA preferredBig 4 or regional Accounting firm experience preferredA self-starter with a demonstrated ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks while being a collaborative team playerStrong drive for continuous improvement, both professionally and within processes to develop and implement improvements and efficienciesExcellent organizational and problem-solving skills, attention to detail and commitment to accuracyStrong written and verbal communication skillsAdvanced Excel skills, including the ability to create formulas & schedules using pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.WHO WE ARE® (NASDAQ: DSP) is a leading advertising software company that enables marketers to plan, execute and measure omnichannel ad campaigns through a cloud-based platform. $90,000 - $110,000 a yearBase compensation range: $90,000 - $110,000In accordance with California law, the range provided is Viant’s reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role.  Final title and compensation for the position will be based on several factors including work experience and education.Not the right position for you?
