Senior Revenue Accounting Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY The Senior Revenue Accounting Analyst will report to the Director, Revenue Accounting & Analytics and be primarily focused on validation and accuracy of Ardent’s revenue recognition policy in accordance with GAAP. This role will be instrumental in implementing the organizations strategy to centralization of the accounting and analyst teams across the organization. Responsibilities Responsible for timely and accurate financial reporting of net revenues, contractual, bad debt expense, cost report reserves, and the valuation of accounts receivable while ensuring consistent application of reimbursement tools and methodologies. Validation of the organization’s balance sheet position with respect to patient receivable valuations through a hindsight/cash collections verification process, including the evaluation and recommendation of policy adjustments High level of involvement in financial analysis and reporting of results regarding net revenue, net patient receivables, as well as related variance analysis Partner with other Finance process leaders and their respective teams to assure AR accuracy Qualifications Education and Experience: 3+ years in an accounting or finance role with revenue emphasis in a hospital environment Bachelor’s degree required. CPA license or MBA preferred but not required Experience using Power BI, Business Objects, and/or SQL a plus Experience with Crowe RCA a plus Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of Lawson systems or similar ERP Software preferred Knowledge of Epic systems or similar EMR Software preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Office (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Demonstrated problem-solving ability Strong working knowledge of hospital and physician operations, including revenue cycle
