BL Companies has full-time positions available for Senior level Architectural Designers. Position requires 5+ years of experience in the production of construction documents and the design of retail, commercial, and interior projects.

Responsibilities:

Uses rough sketches provided by Supervisory Staff to produce detailed construction documents including building plans, elevations, sections, details and schedules. Interprets and refines conceptual designs into code compliant and buildable production drawings under the direction of Supervisory Staff. Assists in the selection of building materials and products. Implements Code Analysis in drawing details and design. Assists conceptual development of building projects based on program and design criteria established by Supervisory Staff. Designs segments or portions of project based on established framework. Corrects, updates or changes drawings based on provided mark ups or "Red Lines". Identifies unique project conditions and adapts standardized project details or geometry to conform to those requirements. Utilizes Revit to produce drawing files according to office standards. Creates three-dimensional models from architectural drawings. Produce finished rendered product using Revit or other rendering software. Reviews construction shop drawings under the direction of supervisory staff.

Required Experience:

Technical knowledge of building design, proficiency in Revit required, an Architectural degree is preferred. Experience with project detailing Experience compiling full sets of construction documents Experience designing/updating projects in Revit required
