About The Opportunity

As part of the RF team, you will be working with a team of highly skilled RF electronics engineers to solve complex design challenges by utilising modern tools and software. The opportunity will challenge you to think out of the box and deliver innovative and cutting-edge solutions.

What The Role Will Involve:

The responsibilities of your role will include the following:

Design, development and prototyping of new RF & microwave components and electronic subsystems, or the modification of existing products.RF line-up design, modelling and simulations of RF & microwave circuits using software packagesPerform part stress analysis and reliability predictionsProvide supervision, guidance and mentoring to a small team of RF engineers directly reporting into the role.Provide specialist technical and supervisory support to the Hardware Engineering Lead in the area of RF design and development. Qualification testing and documentation of new products, including Antenna testing and EMI/EMC testingDocumentation of product design either directly or through supervision of contractors or drawing office staff as appropriateManagement of part numbers in the ERP system including procurement informationWork with Procurement to source and procure parts required for prototypes/productionAbility to participate in generation of formal quotations and bidsAbility to deal with customers and present design details during review e.g. customer design reviewsProvide Engineering leadership to small multi-disciplinary teams to meet financial and time constraints in the delivery of projects in the RF area of practice.Participate in internal company process e.g. non-conformance reports, failure reports, etc.Provide Engineering support to manufacturing and testingParticipate in R&D meetings to evaluate new technical opportunities and contribute to company strategic directionMaintain a focus on producing quality products and recommend enhancements which will promote either customer satisfaction or cost reductionsRecommend enhancements from time to time to the company’s actions in achieving outstanding customer satisfaction

What You’ll Bring

Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Electronics/Electrical Engineering with a strong RF/microwave/photonics backgroundExtensive experience in similar roleExtensive experience with RF modelling and simulation software packages such as CST Microwave Studio,Microwave Office and Matlab for RF line-up budget calculations, modelling and simulation of RF & microwave circuitsExperience with software for modelling 3D electromagnetic structuresExperience with a drawing software package, such as Altium or equivalent, for schematics and PCB design.Ability to lead a small design team and provide leadership in the RF engineering discipline areaExperience in leading the RF delivery in a multi-disciplinary engineering team environmentExperience with a production environment and product developmentExperience in generating engineering plans, design documentation and work-breakdown-structuresExperience in working with customers to understand project requirements and generating specifications
