This role requires in-depth technical knowledge and experience in RF design, simulation, testing, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in RF engineering and be capable of working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Most of our designs are 6GHz and under, however, there could be potential for developing above this range. **Principal Duties and Responsibilities:** **Design and Development:** + Lead the design and development of RF components and systems, which may include antennas, amplifiers, mixers, oscillators, and filters. + Conduct RF simulation and modeling to predict performance and optimize design, if required by the design. + Support efforts for existing designs when there is troubleshooting required from manufacturing and when there are obsolescence issues. + Develop detailed specifications and documentation for RF systems and components. + Understand and design to meet EMC/EMI and environmental requirements. **Testing and Validation:** + Create and implement test plans for RF systems and components, ensuring they meet performance and reliability standards. + Perform RF testing and troubleshooting using advanced measurement equipment such as network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators. + Be familiar with RF Test automation and best practices. + Analyze test data and refine designs as needed to meet performance criteria. **Collaboration and Support:** + Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software, hardware, and mechanical engineers, to integrate RF systems into overall product designs. + Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and MFG technicians. + Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure successful product transition from design to production. **Innovation and Continuous Improvement:** + Stay updated with the latest advancements in RF technology and incorporate relevant innovations into design practices. + Participate in design reviews, providing technical expertise and recommendations. **Job Specifications:** To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
