What You Will Do:

The Senior RF Engineer will have responsibility for the design, development, and sustainment of state-of-the-art Transmit/Receive (T/R) microwave functions (modules, TRIMMs, module-less, planar, etc). This position is within Raytheon’s Electrical Engineering Department Electrical Subsystems Center. The engineer will reside within the Apertures and RF department in McKinney, Texas. 

The Apertures and RF department is responsible for full-scope Independent Design, Verification & Validation (IV&V) solutions for microwave products, including architecture trades, design, layout, development, integration, deployment, and sustainment of antenna systems and associated integrated system verification solutions. The engineer will implement best practice standards with regard to the planning, coordination, and execution of microwave design and test with sound engineering process discipline and leadership.
 

This position is an onsite role, located in McKinney, TX.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience with any combination of the following:Experience designing transmit/receive functions covering large frequency range (MHz thru Ka-band)Experience in the design, layout, development, test and verification of T/R functions at microwave frequenciesDesign experience leading to production of microwave componentsExperience using Ansys HFSS, Keysight ADS, Mentor Graphics Xpedition and MATLAB.RF/Microwave Design Verification Test (DVT) experience with network/spectrum analyzers and/or antenna measurement systemsThe ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer:

Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or other related science or engineering discipline.Experience interfacing with technical engineers and presenting to upper-level managementExcellent written and verbal communication skills and able to work in cross functional team environmentsAbility to work independently with minimum supervision

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
