Senior Risk Analyst

BlueSnap works daily to continue building a world-class payment orchestration platform that provides our clients with extensive capabilities, technologies, and services, all with only one integration.BlueSnap is looking for a Senior Risk Analyst who will strongly influence the business decisions by developing data-driven merchant monitoring analysis. The primary role of the Senior Risk Analyst will be to identify high-risk business problems and develop recommendations and solutions to best manage the risks. The Senior Risk Analyst will work closely with teams across the company including Sales, Engineering, Product, and Operations to monitor and review account activity and transaction data for suspicious activity, possible fraud and changes in merchant processing that signals a risk concern. This role includes reviewing, investigating, and resolving irregular transactions both on the merchant level and the end user’s level. In addition, the Senior Risk Analyst will maintain detailed records of suspicious activity, analyze trends, communicate security threats to management and provide recommendations for loss mitigation as needed. Working with internal and external fraud prevention tools, analyze the outcome and provide professional feedback when required.Responsibilities:Execute policies and strategic programs to understand the risk, mitigate loss and to support revenue growth in BlueSnap’s service offeringPossess a solid understanding of risk/fraud mitigation tools & techniquesUnderstand and be able to effectively calculate credit risk exposureConduct comprehensive risk assessments of existing clients to evaluate their financial stability, compliance, and potential risk factorsUtilize data analytics skills to identify trends, anomalies, and potential risks in payment processing activitiesProvide recommendations to management on merchant remediationAssist in educating internal teams and clients about risk management best practices, risk requirements, compliance requirements, and industry standardsHave strong communication skills both written and verbalAnalyze large datasets to identify patterns and trends indicative of fraudulent behavior, continually refining rules and strategiesIdentify areas for improvement within the fraud prevention process and work on optimizing workflows, rules, and strategies to minimize false positives and enhance the customer experienceThink like a fraudster and identify risks, exploits, and points of attackOther responsibilities as requiredQualifications:3+ years of experience in an eCommerce or Financial Services industryExperience working within the fraud/risk/compliance spaceExperience with various risk management software toolsExperience in the Card Not Present (CNP) payments spaceStrong analytical skills, experience with MS ExcelReporting experience with BI (business intelligence) tools Not afraid to think “out of the box” to solve problemsCan excel in complex, fast paced environmentsPersistent and results focusedExtensive multi-tasking and prioritization skillsProject coordination skills – on time results working with cross functional teamsAs a regular full-time BlueSnap team member you will receive a competitive salary along with an excellent benefits package which will include BlueCross BlueShield medical and dental insurance, FSA, HRA, vision, life, disability and more!
