Senior Risk Consultant

What the day will look like As a Senior Risk Consultant, you actively contribute to the execution of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and Business Continuity Management (BCM) consultancy assignments with clients. You may act as both a project team member, executing project tasks as required and as a project leader, responsible for the quality of the (sub) assignments and the completion of project activities within the budget and schedule. In addition, we expect you to make an active contribution to the continuous improvement and innovation of our services. + Actively identify customer needs, create concepts, identify delays in a timely manner and proactively propose solutions. + Involved in project management, project implementation, conducting interviews, giving presentations, and facilitating workshops. + Execute tasks related to ERM and BCM engagements, including but not limited to, drafting governance documentation, risk assessments (identify, assess, prioritize, respond, monitor, report), risk appetite, tolerance, and key risk indicator (KRI) development, business impact analyses (BIA), recovery strategy development, business continuity planning, etc. + Develop and implement risk and resilience frameworks, policies, standards, and guidelines, reporting on and monitoring of client’s strategic and operational risks. + Support and advance the thinking on the quantification of key risks, as required. + Develop and implement strategies to identify and pursue new business opportunities within the ERM and BCM market segment. + Support the maintenance of a robust sales pipeline, track sales activity, and report on progress towards revenue targets. + Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while actively seeking opportunities to upsell additional services and solutions. + Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive threats, and potential areas for growth within the risk and resilience landscape. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop compelling proposals, presentations, and pitches that effectively communicate our value proposition and differentiate us from competitors. + Represent Aon at industry conferences, networking events, and trade shows to showcase our risk consulting expertise and expand our professional network. Build relationships with key stakeholders and influencers to improve our visibility and reputation within the market. How this opportunity is different Risk Consulting involves the methodical identification, evaluation, and mitigation of various risk factors to improve an organization's risk and resilience, in support of organizational objectives. Risk Consultants interact with clients, contractors, regulatory authorities, insurance engineers, brokers, and account executives on risk matters. Skills and experience that will lead to success We are looking for an enthusiastic and eager to learn colleague with several years of work experience and a passion for the ERM and BCM consultancy profession. Knowledge in the field of Risk Management, Business Continuity Management and/or Crisis Management is an advantage, but genuine interest and eagerness to learn are just as important. + A completed university education; bachelor’s degree in business administration or commerce, Marketing, Finance, Economics, Actuarial Science, or a related field. + Additional qualifications, such as CRM, CIP, FCIP, CBCI, CFA, etc. are considered an asset. + Strong understanding of enterprise risk management principles, methodologies, and best practices (e.g., COSO, ISO). + Strong understanding of business continuity management principles, methodologies, and best practices (e.g., ISO, BCI). + Proven track record of success in business development, sales, or account management, with a focus on enterprise risk management, business continuity management, and/or related services. + Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner. + Strategic problem solver with the ability to identify opportunities, anticipate market trends, and develop actionable plans to drive business growth. + Team-oriented with a sense of responsibility. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant business tools.
