Your Role:
Provide a high level of loss control services and engineering support for Chubb Insurance operations in Australia and globally when required.
Identify key risks and exposures associated with the full range of insurance policy coverages, assist with claims analysis and the loss adjusting process.
Produce assessment reports and provide other loss control services to both internal and external customers in a professional manner within agreed timeframes.
Your Responsibilities:
• Undertake loss control activities in accordance with Chubb guidelines.
• Conduct assessments of risk and exposures for internal and external customers. This may include the:
Review of information provided by third parties;
Information collected via internet research, from phone / video calls / site meetings with external customers;
Physical site visits.
• Provide general technical support to assist Chubb Underwriting and Claims staff.
• Provide account management where required, including scheduling and monitoring of site visits, quality assurance, and development of relationships with customers.
• Remain abreast of current loss control and engineering best practices, including identifying emerging risks and claims trends.
• Work in conjunction with others on special projects to improve process efficiency and enhancement of services.
• Provide technical support in a designed area of expertise.
• Marketing of Chubb Risk Engineering Services.
• Liaise with Chubb management regarding new initiatives and process improvements.
• Engineering or physical science degree or diploma with at least 5 years post-degree work experience, preferably involving risk management, facility maintenance, EH&S management, fire engineering, building construction compliance, or other engineering roles at industrial operations.
• Demonstrated ability to analyse a technical issue, summarise any findings and identify any corrective action required.
• Effective communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. Excellent written and spoken English language skills are essential.
• Good technical report writing skills. The ability to write clearly and concisely is essential.
• A willingness to travel to service client locations throughout Australia, and further afield if required.
