Supervises security details and uses proper judgmentand discretion to resolve student and staff issues and concerns. Conducts investigations ofaccidents and incidents with the goal of resolution and reduction of future occurrences.MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISIONMay supervise Safety & Security staff and serve as Acting Safety & Security Manager.RESPONSIBILITIESo Follows all integrity guidelines and procedures and ensures no manipulation of student data.o Works with Residential Living, Recreation and Safety and Security staff to ensure effectivesupervision of the student population. Provides supervision and coverage on dorms, at theWelcome Center/Security Gate, in Recreation, on the grounds and other areas as needed anddirected.o Assists Safety & Security Department to maintain a safe and secure Center environment.o Ensures Center compliance with PRH and OSHA safety and health requirements.o Complies with DOL/Company reporting requirements.o Participates in student/staff safety awards program.o Compiles, analyzes and summarizes safety & security data and takes appropriate actions toresolve issues and concerns.o Coordinates staff coverage to ensure student areas are supervised.o Ensures all staff adhere to rest and meal break requirements.o Conducts and documents Center-wide safety and accident prevention training.o Conducts and documents incident and accident investigations per established timelines andrequirements.o Ensures Center compliance with all PRH and other DOL, Job Corps and Company safetydirectives and requirements.This job description includes data that shall not be disclosed outside the Corporation and shall not be duplicated, used ordisclosed - in whole or in part - for any purposes.o Conducts routine safety inspections and assessments of all Center equipment and facilities toidentify potential safety and security hazards.o Responsible for Center security, visitor control and student accountability.o Ensures compliance with the Centers Environmental Health Program.o Produces quality work and completes assignments in a thorough, timely and accurate manner.o Maintains appropriate personal attendance, accountability and work productivity standards.o Plans, prioritizes and organizes assignments to meet established goals and deadlines.o Understands and applies job knowledge to effectively complete all required job responsibilities.Proactively maintains the skills required to perform job duties.o Mentors, monitors and models the Career Success Standards as required by the PRH.o Provides high-quality supervision and management for the student population and positivelyinfluences student behavior. Shows respect and courtesy to students and holds themaccountable for their actions and behavior.o Provides timely operational support for Center operations to ensure quality programs andservices. Pursues improvement in Center operations to fulfill program objectives.o Exchanges ideas and information, both orally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner andcontributes meaningfully to group efforts by offering relevant ideas and knowledge. Providesquality and timely information to DOL/Company when requested.o Effectively articulates thoughts and ideas. Identifies problems, analyzes causes and evaluatesappropriate solutions prior to taking or recommending actions. Follows up to ensureprompt/appropriate action is taken and that problems are in fact corrected.o Works in partnership with staff from all Departments to ensure effective supervision andservices are provided to students.o Accepts direction and supervision from the Center Director/Center Duty Officer/Shift Managerto include assignments to temporarily perform job responsibilities of other departments andpositions.o Other duties as assigned.Adams and Associates, Inc. abides by the requirements of 41 CFR ยงยง 60-1.4(a), 60-300.5(a) and 60-741.5(a). Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCEHigh School Diploma or equivalent required. Advanced degrees preferred. A minimum of one-yearexperience in military, law enforcement, safety or security required. Must possess a valid in-StateDrivers License and meet Company insurability requirements.Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing,carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching. Demonstrates the ability to lift 40 pounds and/or theability to assess the lift load in order to ask for necessary assistance.
