About the Team:

As part of the Sales Compensation Team under the Peoples Team, the Senior Sales Compensation Analyst will have a key role in shaping sales compensation strategy, driving transparency and effectiveness of compensation plans, and building a strong consultative relationship with the global sales organization. The individual will partner with Sales Compensation Director, HR associates and other departments (Sales Ops, Sales, IT, etc.) to serve as the subject matter expert for the compensation plans, metrics, analytics, and data strategy. The role will have a heavy business facing presence as it relates to sales compensation but will also maintain and ensure quality control of the sales compensation management system.

Responsibilities:

Create, validate, and execute of the semi-annual compensation plan documentation for the sales organization. Manage accuracy and distribution of monthly and quarterly sales compensation payments and statements. Drive alignment amongst cross-functional stakeholders and project manage assignment of sales compensation calculation inputs. Collaborate with Sales Compensation Director to help define the sales compensation business model in support of optimizing associated technologies, policies, processes, and tools. Interact with sales reps and leadership to better understand sales compensation issues and provide recommendations to help improve the sales compensation process and strategy. Communicate observations around sales compensation best practices through data, analytics, and thoughtful interpretation of findings. Provide guidance and education to the sales organization around sales compensation policies and procedures. An ability to 'manage up' and operate at senior and/or executive levels within HR and the broader management levels. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with the ability to bring operational or process related subject matter to life in terms of a narrative that the business can relate to or identify to as part of their day to day.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field required. 3 or more years of experience required. Strong Proficiency in using Varicent and Salesforce required. Advanced Excel capabilities. quality control, analytical, technical, and collaboration skills. Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to successfully communicate with individuals at various levels and across different functions within the organization. work independently and multi-task in a dynamic setting while maintaining accuracy and delivering against deadlines.

The salary range posted below refers only to positions that will be physically based in New York City. As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location. Pay ranges for candidates in locations other than New York City, may differ based on the local market data in that region. The base salary pay range for this position is $79,500 - $106,000.

Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata's non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses.
