Our Business Unit Rail Infrastructure supplies the global markets of rail and road-bound transport with innovative products and solutions for Rail Automation, Rail Electrification and in the area of intermodal mobility, apps and backend systems. We contribute to energy saving and emission reduction with efficient automation systems

Your responsibilities:

This is a key position within the Business Development department of Siemens Rail Infrastructure. Reporting directly to the Head of Sales and working closely with the Strategy and Business Development team and the wider business to ensure that we continue to grow our business. You will work across the business to provide insights and improvements that help us to better understand our industry and our customers so that we win more work.

You will be responsible for ensuring our business development and sales processes are efficient and used effectively. This will include ensuring we are completing appropriate internal governance.You will bring value from market intelligence by developing a structured approach, focusing on gathering and analysing high value information which leads to actionable insight.You will co-ordinate market intelligence gathering with the Business Development team and the wider business.You will always be looking for ways to improve what we do and how we do it.Responsible for our customer engagement processes, including Net promoter score (NPS) and measuring the frequency, coverage and success of our other customer and partner engagements.You will ensure that our events and customer visits are excellent every time. Your role will be to ensure we get genuine value from our customer visits and that we learn and constantly improve the experience.Ensure that we are aware of the whole opportunity landscape by co-ordinating the review of our portals and keeping up to date with the legal landscape around procurementYou will be responsible for ensuring that knowledge is shared between all parts of the business so that we make more informed and better decisions about work winning.What we are looking for?Highly driven, self-motivated and agile; someone who takes ownership for achieving ambitious resultsSomeone who will be a role model in continuous improvement.An analytical thinker who makes bold decisions based on strategic priorities, in depth analysis and in collaboration with key partners.A successful track record in value-based selling and business developmentA track record of implementing process improvements that provide demonstrable benefits to the people who use these processes.A brilliant collaborator who can build relationships with customers, external and internal partners to help them achieve their goalsA great communicator, able to distil complex topics into concise and compelling communication.Someone passionate about helping customers to be successful and contributing to a better public transport network.
