As a field Sr. Systems Sales Engineer (SE) at Nutanix, you play a crucial role as a trusted advisor to our customers during the presales process, supporting their transformative journey through the adoption of our solutions portfolio.  Your primary responsibility is to partner closely with the sales team and provide technical knowledge on Nutanix solutions to our valued customers and prospects.  In your role as an SE, it is expected that you will deliver impactful sales presentations, conduct product demonstrations, and guide prospects through essential technical evaluations (POCs) that significantly influence the success of deals.  Additionally, you are expected to collaborate with various teams to promptly address customer concerns, escalate product issues when needed, and uphold our brand's image as a dedicated ambassador.

At Nutanix, you'll be joining a dynamic team known as Systems Engineering and Solution Sales, comprised of 9 dedicated professionals located across the eastern United States. You will report to the Senior Manager, Systems Engineering, who is committed to empowering the team to achieve great results while supporting personal and professional growth. This position will allow you the flexibility of a remote work setup within your designated territory. You won't be required to work from an office; instead, you’ll focus on building relationships by visiting customer and partner sites. Travel requirements for this role are approximately 20%, enabling you to spend quality time engaging directly with our clients and partners while also having the autonomy to work from anywhere, within your territory.

What You Will Bring6 to 9 years of experience, and 3-5 years in a customer-facing pre-sales  role.Experience with Hybrid Cloud, Cloud Native, Kubernetes, Automation, and Hyper Converge Infrastructure – is a plus.Bachelor’s Degree, and working knowledge of Information Technology, or equivalent experience Hands-on technical aptitude, and the agility to adapt according to market demands.Team player with cross-functional collaboration experience.Analytical approach to solving complex problems, with the ability to clearly describe the situation and suggest a solution strategy.Excellent communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills in English.Ability to manage multiple projects, determine project urgency, and execute detailed action plans.Highest level of personal and professional ethics and integrity.A desire to learn and be challenged, and continuously strive for excellence.Ability to perform and execute a flawless proof of concept, which at times will require lifting up to 50 lb servers within the datacenter in order to rack and stack the hardware the proof of concept will be executed on.Ability to tell a compelling story using a whiteboard, presentation and other mediaAdvanced virtualization knowledge and / or enterprise application expertiseMust be able to travel up to 20% of time predominantly in territory and event-based opportunities

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $ 195,920 and USD $ 293,880 per year.

However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
