Senior Sales Manager

Adecco is recruiting on behalf of a privately owned manufacturing company in Detroit, MI, seeking a Senior Strategic Account Manager to join their team within the adhesive industry. This role involves building and maintaining strong client relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and managing a dedicated team of sales and field technical personnel. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of the adhesive market, a strategic approach to account management, and a commitment to driving long-term client success and company growth.
**Key Responsibilities** :
+ **Client Relationship Management** : Build and maintain robust relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and loyalty.
+ **Strategic Planning** : Develop and implement account plans aimed at achieving business goals and maximizing revenue growth.
+ **Needs Assessment** : Conduct regular client needs assessments to understand goals and challenges, positioning company solutions effectively.
+ **Cross-functional Collaboration** : Partner with sales, marketing, product development, and customer support teams to deliver seamless service.
+ **Performance Tracking** : Monitor account metrics, provide updates to management, and identify areas for improvement.
+ **Negotiation and Contract Management** : Lead contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms for both the client and the company.
+ **Market Analysis** : Stay informed on industry trends, market developments, and competitive landscape, providing valuable insights.
**Requirements** :
+ Bachelor’s degree in business/marketing or engineering, ideally with a focus on chemical applications.
+ Minimum of 10 years of sales experience, with at least 5 in management. Experience in adhesives for consumer packaging industries is a plus.
+ Willing and able to travel 25% to 75% weekly in the Midwest. (Typically, 25% for 3 weeks out of the month, 1 week 50%-75%)
+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging both corporate and plant-level personnel.
+ Proficient in MS Office and experienced with Salesforce.
+ Demonstrated experience in sales planning, forecasting, and resolving technical issues in the field.
+ Self-motivated, excellent negotiator, and skilled in lead generation and team-based sales approaches.
