Position Overview:
The Senior Manager, Sales is responsible for overseeing a team of direct sales representatives who directly approach potential customers at their homes to sell products or services, managing their territories, sales performance, and ensuring they effectively present the company's offerings while adhering to sales strategies and achieving designated sales targets within a designated area; this typically involves training, motivating, and coaching the sales team to build relationships with customers, handle objections, and close deals face-to-face.

A Day in the Life of the Sr Sales Manager:
Team Leadership:
Recruit, hire, and onboard new door-to-door sales representatives Assign territories and sales quotas to each team member Provide ongoing training and development on sales techniques, product knowledge, and company policies Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to improve sales skills Motivate and inspire the team to achieve sales goalsSales Strategy and Planning:
Develop and implement effective sales strategies based on market analysis and customer demographics Set sales targets and track progress against goals Monitor sales trends and identify areas for improvement Create and maintain sales pipelines to ensure consistent lead generationOperational Management:
Ensure compliance with all company policies, sales regulations, and ethical standards Monitor team performance metrics like conversion rates, product mix, and customer satisfaction Address customer concerns and resolve complaints efficientlyField Coaching and Support:
Accompany sales representatives on field visits to provide coaching and feedback on sales presentations and customer interactions Identify areas where individual sales reps need additional training and provide targeted support Role-play sales scenarios to enhance sales skills and confidence Actively support, promote and advance all aspects of Astound’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) goals and initiatives, recognizing it as a business priority, including creating a work environment where all employees feel valued, respected, heard and empowered to do their best work Other duties as assignedWhat you bring to the table:

Base Salary: The base salary range in Illinois for this position is $75,000 - $90,000 annually plus opportunities for bonus, benefits and commission, if applicable. The base pay range represents the low and high end of the hiring range for this job. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to relevant skills, experience, and capabilities. It is specific to IL and may not be applicable to other locations.
Commissions at plan: Targeted commissions at full attainment are between $60,000 - $75,000 annually. Our sales total compensation offers the potential for significant upside above targeted earnings for those who overachieve their sales targets.
