JOB PURPOSE:
To assist the Director of Sales & Marketing in the management, coordination and execution of items related to the Group Sales operation of the hotel. Responsible for the management and solicitation of designated markets.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
·Proficiency in qualifying group leads as it pertains to pattern placement, room to space ratio, validating histories and understanding/establishing food, beverage and rental minimums.
·Plan, direct, and organize sales activities such as outside sales calls, organizing and conducting site inspections, entertaining clients, developing and soliciting new leads, presenting and preparing written proposals and contracts.
·Proficiency in qualifying group leads as it pertains to pattern placement, room to space ratio, validating histories and understanding/establishing food, beverage and rental minimums.
·Ability to illustrate a clear understanding of group history analysis and application for general use.
·Clear understanding of hotel contract terms and conditions; navigating through negotiations that support and protect hotel interests.
·Demonstrate creativity when it comes to written proposals and special offers, highlighting/focusing on customer’s individual needs.
·Deliver creative and memorable experiences when conducting customer site inspections.
·Organize and/or attend scheduled Sales, Revenue and other related meetings.
·Demonstrates positive leadership characteristics that inspire team members to meet and exceed standards.
·Other duties as assigned.
Work Experience
EDUCATION:
High school graduate or equivalent required.
Minimum of 4-year college degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 2 years hotel sales experience preferred.
Experience utilizing Delphi FDC preferred.
