Senior Sales Planner Off-Premise

**Meaningful Work From Day One**
This role is responsible for the overall productivity and effectiveness of off-premise sales teams, such as the National Key Account Sales Team, East Japan Sales Team, and West Japan Sales Team. It leads sales forecasting, planning, budgeting, and KPI setting of the off-premise sales teams; analyzes sales performance; monitors and evaluates execution of trade plans; and deepens the organization’s understanding of results, performance drivers, and program effectiveness.
**What You Can Expect**
**●** **Sales Planning & Budgeting.** Support the sales managers of off-premise sales teams in developing strategies, targets, and budgets for each sales team. Lead sales planning & budgeting processes within the off-premise sales teams, including sales forecasting, discount budget allocation, product allocation, KPI setting and field sales management, in line with the company’s business strategy & guidelines. Collaborate cross-functionally to plan trade programs and merchandising campaigns. Develop plans and manage 3rd-party field merchandisers in cooperation with sales managers. Closely monitor trade executions of 3rd-party field merchandisers and constantly improve execution excellence.
**●** **Budget Management & Plan Executions.** Implement and manage commercial policies as established and agreed by headquarters. Work with off-premise sales teams to allocate discountbudgets by customer/channel and track spending & commitments. Maintain visibility of trade promotion calendars by customer by week in line with customer category plans. Coordinate promotion executions about target customers, target quantity, mechanics, and logistics with key stakeholders including trade marketing, supply chain, and sales managers.
**●** **Sales Analytics** **.** Develop a deeper 360-degree understanding of trade dynamics of off-premise channels as well as each customer’s business, strategy, and goals. Analyze and sense check sales forecasts and plans. Analyze sales results to deliver insight on sales performance drivers and promotion effectiveness. Collaborate cross-functionally to monitor pricing, discount costs and
trade executions.
**●** **Sales Capabilities.** Continuously evaluate and improve sales processes for better effectiveness or efficiency. Champion the Brown-Forman Commercial Way within the regional sales team.
**●** **Collaboration & Communication** : Collaborate closely within the sales planning & operations team, trade marketing, finance and other cross-functional partners. Develop reports and communicate transparently and effectively with stakeholders regarding issues & opportunities, plans, performance, and learning.
**What You Bring to the Table**
● 5+ years of sales management experience in sales planning, key account management, or trade marketing in FMCG
● Understanding of market & channel structure, trade margins, and trade terms (discounts & rebates) in the FMCG industry
● Analytical and problem solving skills with a high level of Excel/Google Sheets capabilities for complex data management and analysis
● Communication skills (influencing, listening, presenting, writing); able to explain sales and analytical results in a clear, concise, and visually appealing manner
● Proven ability to identify problems/opportunities and plan, prioritize, organize and advance multiple tasks to completion by specific deadlines
● Personal honesty and integrity.
● Ability to build strong relationships at all levels and manage conflict constructively
● Collaborative team player with strong conflict management skills
● Adaptable, flexible and resilient
**What Makes You Unique**
● Alcohol industry experience with knowledge of trade margins, rebates and commercial processes, particularly in the premium and super-premium imported spirits industry (wholesale and retail).
● Experience working for a foreign company, especially a U.S. or European company
● English language proficiency
