Job summary:
Rowan University is developing a direct to employer corporate learning offering as part of its Rowan Online division that will bring online education to continuing adult learners. The initial focus of the offering is in the Construction Management vertical. The team is looking for a Senior Sales Professional to join our growing team to lead the partner relations and drive the sales of this division (e.g., develop existing partner relations, strategize new partners to target, lead sales pitches etc.)
The Senior Sales Professional will proactively seek out and engage with potential business partners, lead negotiations and successfully close deals. They will collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet targets.
The Senior Sales Professional will report directly to the VP for Academic Innovation and Online Partnerships and will be managing partner relations and signing new partnership contracts.
Duties and responsibilities:
Actively identify and reach out to potential business partners to explore new opportunities, roadshow sales presentations to partner institutions
Drive and create new, sustainable, and healthy B2B partnerships for each program, as well as work with existing partners to accelerate revenue and growth
Comfort with being goaled against partnership targets
Take the lead to define opportunities, strategize partner segments to target, structure to drive deals/ pitching end-to-end from commercial negotiation to closure, account management, and execution
Attend all meetings with current and potential partners, bringing in the relevant team members as needed (e.g., VP for Academic Innovation and Online Partnerships, subject matter experts)
Co-create business development plans and roadmap with partners
Prepare and deliver regular business reviews / project updates to VP for Academic Innovation and Online Partnerships on progress, roadblocks, and solutions
Develop market expansion strategies and build repeatable selling and account management processes
Define, price, and sell new service offerings, and support contract negotiations on a full range of commercial, IP, and technical terms
Desired education and experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Finance, Business, or a related field. MBA or other relevant advanced degree is a plus
Significant experience in building Nursing/CM employer partnerships and scaling businesses. Expertise in GTM (Go-To-Market) strategy, sales analytics, and marketing
Significant experience in Nursing/Healthcare / Construction management and working with Unions
Proven experience in marketing for higher education institutions, preferably with experience in online university settings
Strong communication and management skills, with the ability to identify potential risk points and advise on these risks
Understanding of partnership development and the full lifecycle from introduction to agreement
Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
