Job Description Summary

The Senior/Lead Trainer- Financial Professionals, is responsible for the coordination of learning programs to external agents who sell Transamerica products. This person provides analysis, design, delivery and success measurements of learning solutions. Designs materials and resources to support strategic clients and programs. Develops and supports the face-to-face virtual and in-person learning needs for medium to large scale projects. Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of learning programs for the learner, business unit and the organization. Works closely with the team to ensure programs align to strategic priorities and contribute to business goals.

This role will foster a collaborative and productive learning environment, as a member of the newly formed Learning & Development Center of Excellence (COE) that supports all Transamerica lines of business. This COE reports into the CX/Marketing organization.

Responsibilities

Designs and delivers face to face virtual and in person training to agents/financial professionals.Capable of providing ad hoc training to a large audience with varying degrees of knowledge on a subjectSupport strategic initiatives; attend meetings and support project work in new products and system projects. Meet regularly with the leaders of strategic projects to assess involvement and impact, and identify gaps or items that need to be addressed throughout the process.Continual process improvement and partnership with team members to ensure consistency and leverage knowledge and experience to ensure a quality product that adds value to the organization.Lead the administration and coordination of learning programs.Deliver and assess process and system training, utilizing customer feedback for improvementsMentor team members on refinement of skills.Design and develop curriculum, resources and job aids that support the success of the learning programs.Continue to grow and develop as a learning professional by contributing to the success of the team. This will be done by demonstrating and sharing best learning practices with business groups and team members, and by acting as a role model in the learning professional field.Develop and deliver operational and soft skills programs utilizing a variety of learning methods.Analyze the effectiveness of learning programs.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a business field or equivalent experienceFive years learning and development experience, most in a face-to-face training modelIndustry and product knowledge in specialty areas based on business need (e.g. retirement, mutual fund, annuity, life, employee benefits)Knowledge of & ability to demonstrate adult learning principlesAdvanced documentation and technical writing skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsExemplary customer service skills & motivational skills with the ability to work on a team and independentlyAbility to incorporate creative and innovative solutions in a learning environmentProject management skills that include research capabilities and effective prioritization.

Preferred Qualifications

Bilingual (Spanish or Chinese) strongly preferredExperience working with intermediaries or financial professionalsStrong technical aptitude, and willingness to learn new technology.Training experience in insurance or other related business.Experience with Microsoft SharePoint, learning technology tools and learning management systems.Experience working in a team environmentComprehensive knowledge of Microsoft 365 (including Teams), Zoom, and LMS capabilitiesFamiliar with instructional design capabilitiesExcellent presentation skills and stage presence

The Salary for this position generally ranges between $85,000 - $100,000 annually. Please note that the salary range is a good faith estimate for this position and actual starting pay is determined by several factors including qualifications, experience, geography, work location designation (in-office, hybrid, remote) and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.

Additionally, this position is typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at the Company’s discretion
