Role description:

Arcadis is currently searching for a Senior Construction Scheduler, with a minimum of 10 years experience, to join our Water West Construction Group to support large-scale construction projects within California

The Scheduler will work primarily off site and report directly to a project’s Construction/Project Manager, providing schedule development, maintenance, monitoring, and recovery plan development and oversight. Must be proficient in Oracle Primavera P6 and will be personally responsible for preparing schedule review reports and conduct longest path, near critical paths and concurrent delay analysis Ability to review baseline schedule and monthly schedule update independently and its adherence to the project contract and specifications requirement along with best scheduling practices. Also responsible for ad-hoc scheduling exercises requested by the client and development of logic fragments and what-if-scenarios to analyze changes in the work and will also support and perform project organizational and administrative activities, as requested. Preference is for a candidate who is proficient in Oracle Primavera P6 EPPM, forensic schedule analysis and ability to perform detailed quantitative risk analysis. Ability to use Schedule Analyzer Enterprise software is a plus.

Role accountabilities:

Provides comments and recommendations for monthly schedule submittals review of the contractor schedule along with near critical path and concurrent delay analysis  Performs detailed review of the contractors baseline schedule and its adherence to the contract and specifications along with best scheduling practices. Performs monthly schedule updates utilizing input received by prime Contractors, Design team, CM team and the Owner.  Maintains relationships with Construction/Project Manager, Design Engineer, Resident Engineer and Owner project personnel, particularly with individual discipline group leaders and engineers.  Maintains relationships with contractors’ Project Managers, schedulers, and other contractor personnel.  Develops extensive monthly project schedule analysis reports. 

Required Qualifications: 

10+ years of experience Primavera P6 and Primavera Risk Analysis

Key Skills & Attributes:

Experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing planning and scheduling functions, which include schedule development, control, and analysis, in the field.  Extreme attention to detail required.  Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proven ability to communicate with hands-on, detail-oriented clients.  Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, direct, perform, review, and present schedule products independently with minimal supervision.  This includes using a high level of professional judgment and knowledge related to technical planning and scheduling skills and engineering design, construction, and procurement.  Demonstrated skill in identifying, analyzing, and providing innovative solutions to planning and scheduling problems. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Able to perform risk-based Monte Carlo Simulations.

Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
