Gilbane is seeking a Senior Scheduler to be a Business Unit resource utilizing advanced scheduling techniques to support the most complex projects. As a Senior Scheduler, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining all levels of schedules, for proposals, preconstruction and detailed construction schedules in our Southeast Florida office.
This role will sit in the office and/or on job sites in the Southeast FL area as determined by project needs.

Responsibilities Provides oversight relative to all aspects of planning & scheduling within assigned projectsPerforms as the scheduling expert for the Business Unit (BU), performing work on advanced and complicated tasksDemonstrates an advanced expertise in scheduling tools and techniques and regularly stays connected to current and new industry standardsMakes recommendations to Divisional management regarding adoption of latest advances in scheduling practicesPerforms skillfully schedule & cost loading for CPM schedulesPerforms proficient schedule analysis and analyzes variances and trends when comparing multiple schedulesPerforms the delay claims process, develops delay analysis narratives, and coordinates with the Legal DepartmentParticipates in formal proposals and interviews for prospective projectsEnsures adequate controls are in place so that proper schedule techniques and update procedures are followed on all assigned projectsCoaches and mentors less experienced team membersTrains others in risk identification and mitigationConducts and reviews monthly project audits and provides recommendations for risk mitigation plansReports concerns and updates to Business Unit management regarding proper project controls on any projects within a Business UnitMonitors overall performance indicatorsManages workload and deliverables and balances with available backlogged recoveriesTrains Project Managers and Superintendents on how to schedule and use scheduling software to manage work in the fieldParticipates in the Scheduling peer group by actively getting involved in regular meetings or joining a subcommitteeUtilizes industry standard software to support scheduling processSupports a positive and inclusive work environment QualificationsEXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or related field8-17 years of related experienceProfessional Certification in AACEi, PMI, AGC, CMAA, or similar is recommendedOr equivalent combination of education and experienceKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
In-depth knowledge of construction means, methods, sequences, crew sizes, productivity rates, manpower analysis, cash flow, and CPM schedulingExcellent planning and problem-solving skillsStrong communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills
