Position Summary:

Plans, organizes and coordinates surgical services schedule in collaboration with surgical services staff.

Reports to: Manager

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Receives patient scheduling information from physician offices and electronically adjusts schedule, ensuring accuracy and appropriate time allotment for procedures.Drag Edit DeleteArranges schedules to ensure timely patient flow through perioperative period. Keeps schedule updated with add-on’s and cancellationsDrag Edit DeleteCommunicates with anesthesia regarding coverage and concerns.Drag Edit DeleteCommunicates any special needs for procedures, or concerns regarding patient care to manager/director or charge RNDrag Edit DeleteMaintains calendar and updates with physician vacations and department changes.Drag Edit DeleteMaintains department call schedule for contact centerDrag Edit DeleteCalls every patient prior to procedure to confirm appointment, provide directions and give patient arrival time

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Education
High school diploma or equivalent
Associate’s degree (Preferred)
