Science Systems and Applications, Inc. (SSAI) is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in scientific software development for current and future satellite radiometers. Duties to include: + implementation of processing algorithms in science software + evaluation and validation of code performance and adherence to coding standards + code testing and verification using static and dynamic analysis tools + code maintenance + configuration management control Required Qualifications: + Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or Physical Science and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the development of scientific data processing software using C or C++ in a UNIX/Linux environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. + Strong verbal and written communications skills. + Must be eligible for unescorted access to NASA facilities. + US Citizenship Required. Desired Qualifications: + Experience with scientific software development for satellite remote sensing and evaluation of geophysical products retrieved from satellite data. + Experience with Python, Fortran, Git.
