Join the Immunology & Respiratory Department’s Discovery Sciences Team to identify and develop transformational drugs for immune-mediated diseases. As in vitro expert, you will work closely with the project leaders to refine, validate, and execute assays to modulate lymphocytes. You will work closely in a matrix global team to bring high impact drugs to the clinic.

Duties & Responsibilities As key in vitro lead on projects, you will independently design and propose in vitro assays for target validation, compound profiling and hit validations.Work closely with HTB group to deliver high quality assay for compound identification.With project leader, set up screening funnel for hit validation and refine it as the project moves towards clinic.Interact with translational and biomarker group to share assay protocols and early identification of disease- and target related biomarkers.Routinely reviewing relevant literature, attending scientific meetings, and improving expertise in the field of immune-mediated diseases.Deliver impactful presentations to colleagues across our business (preclinical, clinical and translation), including senior leadership.Requirements Ph.D. Degree or equivalent experience in a related fieldPrior experience working in pharma or equivalent industry is highly desirable.Expertise in Immunology / Autoimmune diseases is a plus.Experience with establishing and validating in vitro assays for lymphocyte functions and modulations (B and T cells) is highly desired.Expertise in developing functional assays (regulatory T cell assays, antigen presentation assays, cytotoxic killing, proliferation assays).Experience in immune phenotyping including multicolor flow cytometry (10+ colors), ICS, ELISpot, and cytokine ELISA/MSD.Analyzing data using biological and statistical software such as Prism, FlowJo, OMIQ, Excel, etc.
Compensation:
This position, Senior Scientist, offers a base salary typically between $140,000.00 and $222,000.00. The position may be eligible for a role specific variable or performance based bonus and or other compensation elements. For an overview of our benefits please click here.
