Facilitates the design and development of prototype continuous in-dwelling analytical sensors. Works closely with product development team to harmonize prototype designs with manufacturing requirements.
What You’ll Work On
Designs, fabricates and tests in-dwelling continuous analytical sensors, primarily electrochemicalAnalyzes in-vitro results from above sensors, prepares reports and recommends strategies for improving sensor performanceInterfaces with internal clinical and regulatory resources to advance in-vivo testing of sensor prototypesInterfaces with appropriate internal and external resources to ensure intellectual property is appropriately protectedProvides technical assistance for diagnosing design and manufacturing quality problemsGuides development and documentation of test plan protocols, standard operating procedures, specifications and test proceduresRequired Qualifications
Minimum Bachelors Degree in a Technical field, preferably mechanical, chemical, biomedical, industrial, or quality engineering; materials science, biochemistry, chemistry or physics plus 8 yrs of experience or Masters Degree plus 4 yrs of experience or a Ph.D Degree plus 2 yrs of experience.Preferred Qualifications
Electrochemistry, strong preferably in the field of analyte sensorsExperience in Medical device development and/or other highly regulated industryEnzyme kinetics and enzyme modificationBackground in polymer chemistry, including interaction with biomoleculesAlkali metal ion analysis including ISFETs and ion selective electrodesImplanted medical devices, including device insertion and biocompatibilityApply Now

The base pay for this position is $109,300.00 – $218,500.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
