We are seeking an independent and experienced **Senior Scientist** to join our VI Next technology development team. You will collaborate cross-functionally to develop and improve animal models to study various immunological diseases. **As a Senior Scientist, a typical day may include:** + Designing and performing immunization/infection/tumor experiments in mice + Performing serological assays such as ELISA or Luminex to measure antibody responses and inflammatory markers + Isolating immune cell populations and performing multicolor flow cytometry + Performing tissue staining and microscopy + Assessing the effects of various therapeutic molecules on disease progression + Reviewing literature and proposing innovative ideas and solutions + Interacting with cross-functional teams and presenting data in small and large group settings **This role might be for you if you:** + Can independently design, perform, and analyze experiments in a reproducible manner. + Are capable of coordinating multiple projects and working collaboratively across groups + Are highly organized and experienced in maintaining detailed records + Have a desire to continually take on new challenges, learn new techniques, and expand your skill sets to meet the evolving needs of the group **To be considered for this opportunity,** you must have at least a PhD with 0-5+ years or a BS/MS with 8-10+ years of of relevant lab experience in Immunology or related field. Experience in immunology with a focus on B-cell biology is strongly preferred. Must have extensive in vivo mouse handling experience including infection/immunization, blood sampling, tissue collection, and immune cell isolation. Proficiency with serological assays and multicolor flow cytometry is also required. Experience with tissue imaging is a plus. Does this sound like you?
