About the Job 

 

The Scrum Master has full responsibility for coaching and facilitating the work of Agile teams. You will create stable and self-organized teams with a clear and engaging direction and help resolve impediments. You will assess the teams' needs and provide a suitable Agile approach in addition to providing Agile consultation services to the customer or management upon request. 

 

What you do 

Build and maintain effective communication and relationships with all stakeholders in scope (Product Owner, Scrum Team) 

Support the Scrum Team, Product Owner and Organization during product development and throughout the sprints, and keep all parties on track and informed 

Find methods to effectively manage, arrange and optimize the product backlog. 

Help communicate the Product Owner’s Wishlist to the project team. 

Organize scrum events and ceremonies as necessary. 

Lead and coach scrum adoption to the Scrum team. Build effective relationship with the Scrum Team and Product Owner 

Coach, mentor and support the Scrum Team in Agile best practices 

Support on the technical implementation of user stories  

Implement changes and steps to increase the Scrum team’s productivity and identify opportunities to improve processes/implement best practices 

Collaborate with other scrum masters to improve the methodologies’ efficiency. 

Graduate in Computer Science/IT/ Business or related field 

 

What you bring 

Strong project management skills, with a proven track record in delivering projects which incorporate a significant systems component 

Experience in Agile development of projects - Scrum in particular 

Strong communication and interpersonal skills 

Confidence to drive, make decisions and act autonomously. 

Effective teams management skills 

Formal project management training 

Sound knowledge of insurance/financial services or other commercial/corporate environment 

Insurance Business Knowledge 

Insurance Systems Knowledge 

Adaptable to change 

Comfortable with ambiguity 

Operate comfortably at all levels of the organization. 

Aptitude and interest in continuous improvement
