Our Health Engineering Systems (HES) team works side by side with customers to articulate a vision for success, and then make it happen. We know success doesn't happen by accident. It takes the right team of people, working together on the right solutions for the customer. We are looking for a seasoned Scrum Master who will be a key driver to make this happen.
Responsibilities:
Engage with stakeholders to accurately report progress, risks, successes, and failures
Maintain a close working relationship with the product owner, scrum team, and other stakeholders such as product end users
Lead working session meetings to discuss scope, schedule and requirements with product owners
Help Product Owner with prioritization, risk management, and scope
Manage product quality, releases, and delivery
Conduct user research, draft user stories and meet with users to validate and enhance them
Breakdown the roadmap into epics and group user stories under them
Work with customers and developers to write user stories which are independent, negotiable, valuable, estimable, small and testable
Manage lightweight, living planning documents, like an Agile Product Roadmap
Conduct all Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, daily Scrum Meetings, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives
Responsible for ensuring user stories include validation criteria which reasonably covers all areas necessary for complete testing of the new functionality
Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required (degree in Computer Science strongly preferred)
5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, Product Owner, or Product Manager for a software development team
Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
Candidate must reside in the US, be authorized to work in the US, and work must be performed in the US
Must have lived in the US 3 full years out of the last 5 years
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree preferred
Hands-on experience leading multiple Scrum teams in a variety of contexts (different team sizes, different organizations, different cultures, co-located vs. distributed, etc)
Track record of continued and recent education in Scrum, including training, conferences, user groups, self-study, etc. First level Scrum Master certification (PSM I, CSM) preferred
Knowledge of other Agile methodologies like Kanban
Experience with Agile techniques: User Stories, TDD, BDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Continuous Delivery, Automated Testing
Expertise with JIRA, Confluence, and the Atlassian suite
Experience using JIRA's Agile performance metrics to drive accountability and continuous improvement
Knowledge of Human Centered Design approach for developing digital services
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly skilled in team facilitation, conflict resolution, implementing best practices, team empowerment and creating a culture of transparency
Experience working in the healthcare industry
Hands on Business Analyst Experience
Federal Government contracting work experience
Prior experience working remotely full-time

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:
$84,533.00 - $143,706.00Nationwide Remote Office (US99)
